3-D Secure Password is an additional security code for confirming online payments made using cards issued within the European Economic Area (EEA).

This is requested during the online payment process on the merchant’s website’s 3-D Secure authentication page, although only in specific situations (e.g. if you do not open the notification in the app or if biometric authentication is unsuccessful)

In such cases, you will need to enter: 

1. the code you received via SMS; 
2. your 3-D Secure Password.
