Yes, payments with Samsung Pay are particularly secure thanks to multiple layers of security. Neither Cornèrcard nor Samsung Pay stores or transmits card or personal data when making a payment.

Tokenisation:

Once your Cornèrcard has been added to Samsung Pay, a device account number, a so-called token, is generated and assigned to your Cornèrcard. When making payments using Samsung Pay, this token is used in encrypted form in order to protect your data and keep them private.

Authorisation of payments:

• With NFC: transactions made using your smartphone must be authorised with your fingerprint, iris scanner or personal Samsung Pay PIN. With the smartwatch, authentication only takes place when you are wearing the watch, using a PIN.
• With MST: payments made with your smartphone or smartwatch must also be authorised by your PIN.
